Stuffed Bell Peppers
Description:
This is inexpensive and easy to make.
Ingredients:
4 green bell peppers
1 onion, minced
1/2 pound ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup rice, cooked
1 can tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/8 teaspoon sugar
Directions:
Cut the tops off the peppers, and clean out pulp and seeds. Reserve tops.
Cook peppers in boiling salt water, until color has changed to dull green.
Set aside to drain. Dice and saute tops of peppers, onion, beef and garlic.
Mix with rice, worcestershire sauce, sugar and tomato sauce. Stuff peppers.
Cook 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350, uncovered.
