Scotch Cookies
Description:
Old fashion cookies.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 - 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
Directions:
Cream butter thoroughly; gradually beat in sugar
Beat until well blended. Stir in flour; Work with hands to mix well.
Cover and chill dough, 2 to 3 hours.
With floured hands divide dough into small batches.
Roll out small batches one at a time and cut with cookie cutters.
Keeping unused dough chilled.
Bake at 300 for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
Sprinkle with sugar or decorate.
