White Fudge
Description:
This is NOT a marshmallow fudge!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar (C&H)
1/4 cups Milk
1 Tablespoon Light Corn Syrup
2 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 cup Dairy Sour Cream
2 Tablespoon Butter
1 cup coarsely chopped English Walnuts
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Directions:
Mix together in large pan, Sugar, Milk, Corn Syrup, Sour Cream, Butter and Salt.
Stir over moderate heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture reaches a boil.
Boil over moderate heat, until it reaches a soft ball stage.
Remove from heat and allow to stand until lukewarm, ( ABOUT 1 hour).
Add Vanilla and beat until mixture just begins to lose its gloss and hold it shape.
Stir Walnuts in quickly and pour into buttered pan. Let stand until firm.
