Beef Roast and Noodles



Description:
My father made this for my family in 1990
and we liked it so much I ask for the recipe.
I DON"T like raisins but this is good!

Ingredients:
1 (3-1/2lb.) Beef Roast (any kind)
2 Tablespoon Flour
2 Tablespoon Oil
2 teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules or 2 cubes.
Dash of Garlic Powder
2 Bay Leaves
2 cup sliced onions
1/2 cup catsup
1/3 cup brown sugar - packed
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup raisins
Hot cooked noodles

Directions:
Coat meat with flour and brown in hot oil in 4-1/2 quart dutch oven.
Add bouillon and 1-1/4 cups hot water. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
Add bay leaves. Place onion on top and around meat.
Cover and bake at 325 for 1-1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves.

In a bowl:
Stir catsup, brown sugar and lemon juice together.
Pour over meat, sprinkle with raisins and cover.
Bake 45 minutes or until tender.
Slice meat and serve over Hot Noodles.
